MCJEEL Entertainment’s Lil’ Iguana’s Children’s Safety Foundation is partnering with Bengaluru, India-based animation company Rolling Dice Studios to produce a 2D animated project.
The project, Lil’ Iguana & Friends, will begin with a pilot and aim for a 52 X 11 episode order.
A re-imagining of the original award-winning live action/puppet series that aired in the late 1990s on Boston commercial television network WABU-TV and PBS stations , Lil’ Iguana & Friends follows the eight-year-old title character as he explores the wonders of the apple orchard next door with his friends. A gentle, welcoming show like its predecessor, the series is aimed at two- to six-year-olds with a focus on safety, self-worth, manners and respect.
Created by Jim Tomazewski, Lil’ Iguana & Friends is in pre-production, with production beginning in early 2019. Children’s animation writer Jeffrey Scott penned the pilot script, and is set to write the series. There aren’t yet any broadcasters attached to distribute the show.
